Time to take a break for the 2023 festive period

As the holiday season fast approaches, we want to give our thanks to all our customers, partners, suppliers and supporters for your business and support during 2023. It's been a massive year for us, and we can't wait to show you what we have in store in 2024 for another exciting year of changes, improvements and helping you and your business succeed with technology.Here at Vetta Group, our teams across our businesses will be taking some down time to enjoy the festive season and spend some quality time with their loved ones.This means that from close of business Friday, 22nd December, our offices will be closed and our teams will be operating on an on-call basis, as per our normal after-hours policy.During this time, you can continue to contact our teams on our normal published phone numbers, or by calling 03 684 5770. Your call will be answered by our call centre who will triage and assess your query and forward as neccessary onto our on-call team member.
Throughout this period, our teams will be focused on service continuity and restorations works only.
Our offices will reopen on Monday, 8th January 2024, at which time our normal full service will resume and we'll be looking forward to seeing you all again!We wish you a joyous festive break and hope you get a chance to rest and relax with those closest to you, and again thank you for all your support during 2023.See you all in 2024!

1st July 2023Timaru Tech has been a leading provider of technical services locally throughout South Canterbury, the McKenzie region and beyond; everything from TV & Audio installations, cabling, networking and I.T. support through to troubleshooting, repairs and more.
Over this time, I’ve grown this business to establish a reputation as a reliable, thorough and effective provider who genuinely cares about our customers, and have enjoyed being a part of your success. This will not change.
Effective 1st July 2023, Timaru Tech (formerly known as Edgar Technology) will transition into new operational management and ownership, and will be powered by a team of locally based technology experts at Reliance Networks.

Camera Surveillance Policy

The purpose of this policy is to outline how security cameras are used at Vetta Group premises (including all brands and companies under the group), and to ensure our compliance and obligations under the Privacy Act.Security cameras are in use at all Vetta Group premises, including but not limited to our offices and communication tower locations. This policy aims to follow best practice to ensure that any image, captured, collected and stored is handled in a confidential manner that protects an individuals privacy at all times.Purpose
The purpose of the installation of these cameras is to prevent and detect crime and/or antisocial behaviour. This is to ensure the protection and safety of all individuals while on our premises, as well as the protection of our property.
Responsibility
Our internal I.T. teams, lead by our Operations Manager are responsible for the operation of the surveillance system.
Placement & Locations
Placement and locations of our cameras are placed in areas which do not intrude on the privacy of individuals. The placement of cameras will not interfere with the normal activities of the environment or premises.

Signage is present at and/or at the border of areas where surveillance is in operation, with a link to this page for full information on the policy.
Operational Periods
Our surveillance is setup to record at a reduced quality constantly, and a higher quality at periods where motion is detected, including 20 seconds before and after the period of detected motion. This occurs 24x7.
Use and Disclosure
Images and videos from our surveillance cameras will only be used for the intended purpose as described within this policy. Recorded footage will only be viewed by authorised personnel and any law enforcement as required to assist in the resolution of an event.
Security
Imagery will be transmitted over internal network links and stored on restricted computer systems. Only authorised personnel will be able to obtain access to stored imagery.
Retention
Imagery will be recorded on our systems for approximately 60 days before being overwritten by newer content. Some recordings of interest may be retained for the purpose of resolving an open incident or legal proceeding.
